Steampunk Warship

Combining features of a side paddle steamer and an ancient Greek Trireme, this model of a fantasy steam powered warship was created in 3ds Max and rendered in Mental Ray. The most challenging part of the project was keeping the subtle cartoon look of the original digital painting it is based on. The concept artwork was created by Swedish artist Lucas Orstrom, and is one of his many imaginative ship designs.
